Now that you understand the components of Web Content Marketing, allow me to illustrate the points of my narrative with a practical demonstration of past work samples. Take a look at what I've done in the past, and take this opportunity to decide whether your Web site – and ultimately your business – can benefit from quality writing like this.
What's so special about the way I write copy? I have a gift for picking words that will make your customers "salivate" when reading about your product or service. A client once asked another writer if it's possible to rewrite the pieces she wrote to sound "sexier" (it was about toe rings), more like the other half of the content; I wrote that half. As one English professor once put it to the class: " Yes, Ms. Tentser has a way with words!" Why don't you see if you agree; here are a few samples of SEO copywriting.
Why do people love to read my articles and keep coming for more? One of my strengths is to write, whenever possible, about what I know best – myself. By writing frankly about personal experiences, I attract diverse audiences who can relate to what I'm saying. That is what creates my faithful following that continues to multiply: I am well educated, well traveled, well read, and I have a lot of personal wisdom and professional experiences to share with my public. I write about it all honestly and with a sense of humor, to connect with most people. It no longer matters that I am the SEO blogger they love to hate: they are busy eating up what I have to say. Take a look at some of my SEO articles to see what I mean.
Press Releases
A press release is necessary when you have some great announcement to make to the world: an opening of a brand new store, a release of a sensational new product, etc. It's not a regular part of a content marketing campaign, but it certainly plays an important role when appropriate. And yes, the usual SEO and SMO techniques can just as easily apply to press releases. My own press release is a perfect example; don't worry, yours won't be wacky like that. You can have it as serious and respectable as you want... unless you happen to like wacky.
Web Development
The main reason every business today needs an online presence is to gain access to the minds and hearts of the billions of potential consumers. Yet, no matter how attractive and high-tech is your expensive new Web site, few will see it without the help of SEO. The World Wide Web of the 21st Century is dead without search engine optimization! There are too many Web Developers and most know nothing about SEO; but SEO specialists who can do original Web development are rare. Now, there's the niche for me!
I don't get into heavy e-commerce or database programming. I do basic "informational brochure" html/javascript sites from scratch. These sites are rather fetching and tasteful, just right for small creative, intellectual or many other types of service businesses who are still without Web representation; they serve as attractive containers for the SEO content I'll be writing. Please view the samples of Web sites I built for prior clients to decide if this solution is right for you. |
